Art.Nr.: 174-PK-2
Absorption is a key element of pharmacokinetics ("what the body does with the drug"). The various ways in which medicines are administered play an exceptional role in medicine. Common application routes are: oral, sublingual (mucosal), nasal (increasingly also in emergencies), transdermal, rectal, inhalative and of course intravenous (i.v.). the plasma concentration of a drug over time after intravenous and oral administration and its distribution through the bloodstream is shown here as an example.
