Art.Nr.: 162-L-PR-20
CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) is a ventilation procedure, which supports the spontaneously breathing patient through positive pressure application in the expirational phase. It can be combined with diverse methods of pressure support, following a defined trigger (usually flow or volume trigger). As a non-invasive procedure it is more commonly used e.g. osas and congestive heart failure and as an invasive procedure (with tube) to wean from ventilation.
