This diagram shows the important transgastric sections (views) in transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). Special attention is paid to the volume state of the ventricles, aortic valve, the right and left ventricular pump function, wall motion (movement) abnormalities, as well as the mitral and tricuspid valve. Furthermore, left atrial appendage can be visualized.
